The mission of the Department of Research at Bay Area Chest Physicians is to explore new modes of therapy in cutting edge medical care that may provide an alternative to current standard of care. Our goal is to provide outstanding and high quality clinical research with the patient at the center of our focus.

Our department offers the following equipment to help facilitate with the research studies we participate in:
- -20 degree freezer
- EKG
- Complete cardio/pulmonary Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
- Body Plethysmography for the more advance PFT
- High quality Digital Chest-X-ray compatibilities
- Standard phlebotomy equipment
- State of the Art 4-bed Sleep Center
- 2-full time Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Capability to use a Central IRB for our out patient studies
Bay Area Physicians Clinical Research experience:
Bay Area Physicians have over 24 years combined with participation in Clinical
Research Studies in both, medical and devices studies. Our physicians are Board Certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Internal Medicine. We have 4- physicians that are Board Certified in Critical Care, 1-Physician Board Certified in Sleep Medicine, and 2-Physicians are Sleep Board eligible.
